I really hate to write this review but it needs to be said. I was going here... monthly when they first opened and I loved this place. The people were, I emphasize WERE, knowledgeable and helpful with anything you wanted to know or were looking for. I went in last week for the first time in a few months and I was so sorely disappointed in what I found. The staff was changed, rude, and didn't know what they were talking about. The girl behind the counter did not know about the meats and when she finally found out had an attitude when we asked for a pound of something because "how will we sell the other lb of this", yes a butcher shop complained about how much meat we wanted to buy. The lady that was there with her gave a similar attitude and started to tell us that what we wanted to buy wasn't right without knowing what we were making. The whole experience has made me question if I will go back again. It's sad to see how much it went from a top place on my list to a place I wouldn't tell anyone to go to now.read more

Good sandwiches, huge meat selection and many different cuts available,... desserts are good, fresh vegetables in season. Really friendly people. Only complaint was the sitting room off to right when you enter smelled of wet dog. Might be a one time issue as I do not remember it in past.read more

The turkey chili and squash soup superb. The service was friendly and... efficient. The 2kids goat farm soap is excellent. Zimmers lento bar is going to be a favorite. You guys are doing great!read more

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have awesome sandwiches made to order.... They also offer some fresh produce. Ive bought steak, chicken, and pork here and I’ve never been disappointed. They are happy to offer advice on how to prepare things if you want some help too.read more

Kind and professional. But much more importantly, excellent meat. My experience... is with their beef brisket. I come from Texas and wanted to smoke my own brisket. Grocery store brisket was not cutting it. The brisket from Side Hill turned out to be some of the best I've ever had and the price per pound was very reasonable. As an added bonus, I get to support local farmers.read more
